From drawing to image

This project involved creating a 3D visualization of a villa based on CAD drawings provided by Alingsås Huspaket. We were tasked with accurately interpreting the architectural plans while having artistic freedom in terms of materials, lighting, and the surrounding environment. I chose to place my villa in a classic coniferous forest in Västra Götaland, Sweden. The quiet atmosphere of the forest allowed me to focus on mood and contrast, while enhancing the presence of the architecture within the landscape. The villa I modeled features a modern architectural style with clean lines and a simple yet expressive form. This project allowed me to explore the full 3D workflow—from interpreting technical CAD drawings to creating a visually compelling scene. It also gave me the opportunity to experiment with design choices that emphasized harmony between modern architecture and natural Scandinavian environments.
