Matte painting

This project explores the use of AI and matte painting techniques to create a visually compelling, imagined environment where architecture meets nature. I used tools like Photoshop, Grok, Adobe Firefly, and Krea Flux to develop a scene based on AI-generated sketches and carefully selected photographic elements. The composition is built from photos I captured during a trip to Joshua Tree National Park. For the architectural inspiration, I used AI to reinterpret elements from La Muralla Roja by Ricardo Bofill and House Monument by Josh Schweitzer—bringing bold forms and color contrasts into the desert landscape. As part of the assignment, each student was assigned a shape to base their architectural design on; I worked with the triangle, which influenced the structure and rhythm of the building forms.
