The modeling assignment

For this project, the task was to select an existing designer chair and recreate it in 3D with a focus on precision and realism. I chose the Herit Chair by Normann Copenhagen, a modern classic known for its soft curves, clean lines, and mix of materials. The project emphasized detailed modeling, material accuracy, and lighting techniques to achieve a set of high-quality studio-style images. I worked from reference photos and drawings to accurately replicate the chair's proportions and subtle design features. To showcase the final model, I created a series of visuals; studio rendering highlighting form and materials, a marketing-style image and a wireframe view to demonstrate the modeling process. Post-production was done in Photoshop, where I refined lighting, contrast, and material textures to enhance realism and presentation quality.
